Children's Wellbeing

At Velmead, we are committed to supporting the mental health and emotional wellbeing of our children to ensure that everyone feels able to thrive.

We teach about mental health and emotional wellbeing as part of a comprehensive PSHE education curriculum.

In addition, we have two trained members of Staff who work with children who need additional support for their emotional wellbeing. One member of staff is an Emotional, Literacy Support Assistant (ELSA) and the other member of staff is a Therapeutic, Active, Listening Assistant (TALA).

Please see below for some additional resources and links that you can access to support your child’s wellbeing at home.
